This week, the artist of the week is Frida Kahlo. She is very well known for her works involving surrealism. Surrealism is the mixing of fantasy with reality with such description that it seems real. An example is that if an angel fell to Earth, then one would be able to describe the wings, the feathers on them, and how they were caked with mud and blood from the fall. Frida Kahlo is able to portray this level of details through he paintings.
